John Randall Consulting is a civil engineering consultant with an office in Canberra. It provides consultancy services for a diverse group of clients and for a broad range of projects in Canberra and throughout NSW.

Our fields of service include:

Due to a recent increase in workload, we are searching for a Civil Design Engineer to join our team.  The sucessful candidate will work closely with our Principal engineers, Junior Engineers and Civil Designers to deliver Land Development and Civil Engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

·         Assist with the design and implementation of civil engineering and land development projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.

·         Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to completion.

·         Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective and sustainable solutions.

·         Conduct site inspections and resolve any engineering challenges with efficiency and precision.

·         Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to produce detailed civil designs.

·         Preparation of engineering design drawings and documentation.

·         Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in all design work.

·         Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements and deadlines.

·         Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to design challenges, demonstrating problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

·         Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land development / civil engineering projects, preferably in ACT and surrounding regions.

·         Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.

·         Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.

·         Sound technical knowledge of stormwater, roadworks, sewer and earthworks design

·         Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to civil engineering design.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the design team, architects, landscape architects and other stakeholders.

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, meeting project deadlines without compromising quality.
